What The Reluctant Dragon Is About

Robert Benchley is pushed by his wife into finding Walt Disney and pitching him a story called The Reluctant Dragon, and promptly gets lost in the studio. What the film really is, is a guided tour: sound effects, the storyboard room, the ink and paint department, colour tests, with short cartoons dropped in along the way. It starts in black and white and turns to colour as he goes deeper inside. One note: it presents Disney as a cheerful workplace while an animators' strike was going on outside.
