What The Same River Twice Is About
The documentary has its origin in 1978. That year a group of friends took to the river. They made a month long trip down the Colorado River. All of them were young and lived freely. The director was among them and filmed those days. There was nakedness and high spirits in the footage. The Grand Canyon stretched out behind them. Some twenty five years go by. The director returns to the same friends. He films five of them again. All of them are approaching middle age now. Families, jobs and illnesses have changed their lives. Some held on to what they built and some let it go. The film sets the old and the new footage side by side. The seventy eight minute documentary was directed by Robb Moss. It is an American production finished in 2003.
