What The Show Must Go On Is About

Kang In-goo is a middle-ranking man in a criminal organisation. He is turning forty, he is tired, and all he wants is a decent life for his family: a large house in the suburbs and an exit from the work. But his wife cannot live with what he does and his daughter grows further from him every day. Things are awkward in the organisation too; the boss prefers him to his own brother, and the brother resents it. Then a quarrel with another gang puts In-goo against a friend he grew up with. Han Jae-rim directs, with Song Kang-ho as In-goo. The film was named best picture at the Blue Dragon Awards and Song Kang-ho best actor. Its Korean title means Elegant World.
