The Trap

The Trap (original title Klopka), directed by Srdan Golubović and adapted from Nenad Teofilović's novel of the same name, is a neo noir psychological thriller about how far a parent will go to help a sick child, while also confronting the problems of post Milošević Serbian society. The film had its world premiere at the 2007 Berlin Film Festival. Serbia's official submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the 80th Academy Awards, it made the nine film shortlist but didn't reach the final five nominees. The film won the Grand Prix at the 2007 Sofia International Film Festival.
