What This Could Be the Night Is About
A staid schoolteacher, wanting to earn extra money, takes a second job as secretary to the uncouth owner of a boisterous nightclub. The distance between the two worlds puts her in difficulty from the start; the people at the club do not trust her, and she does not know how the place works. In time each gets used to the other, and the teacher’s presence alters the order of the club.
