This Is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous

Gigi Lazzarato is Canadian. She started posting videos on YouTube while still young. The videos were about make-up and fashion. She gathered a large audience quickly. Later she came out as a trans woman. She went through her transition in front of the camera. Millions of people watched it. The documentary is about that period. Older family footage is used as well. How her family responded is at the centre of the film. Her father and her brothers speak. Gigi tells it in her own words. How hard it is to transition in public view comes into it. The film screened at Sundance in 2017. The ninety one minute film is a Canadian and American production Barbara Kopple finished in 2017.
