Thread of Lies

Cheon-ji is fourteen and one day takes her own life. Nobody knows why. Her mother Hyeon-sook and her older sister Man-ji leave the flat and move to another. But Man-ji will not let it go; she goes to the school, talks to her sister's friends, finds the small notes she left behind. What comes out by degrees is this: Hwa-yeon, Cheon-ji's closest friend, had been quietly cutting her out for months, and nobody noticed. Lee Han directs, with Kim Hee-ae as the mother, Ko A-sung as Man-ji and Kim Hyang-gi as Cheon-ji. It is adapted from a novel. It shows bullying not as a fist but as something done with a smile.
