My Love

The film is built from four love stories that run into each other. All of them take place under a solar eclipse. Se-jin is obsessively attached to a young woman named Ju-won, who is an unusual sort. So-hyun cannot say what she feels for Ji-wu. She clings to him instead and asks how a person learns to drink well. Jeong-seok is a copywriter raising a child on his own. Su-jeong is in love with him and is turned down every time. Jin-man is an activist who organises free hugs. He comes back to Korea to see the woman he used to love. The four stories pass through one another. Some of them find an answer and some do not. The film makes generous use of coincidence. The eclipse is the common ground under all of it. Love is told here through small embarrassments rather than grand declarations. Comedy and sadness take turns. Kam Woo-sung and Choi Kang-hee appear in the hundred and eleven minute film, a South Korean production Lee Han finished in 2007.
