Tour de Force

A group of friends takes a bicycle tour together every year. This time the route is Hannes and Kiki's pick: Frankfurt to Ostend, in Belgium. Once they are on the road, Hannes tells them why. He has ALS, it is progressing, and at the end of the ride he intends to end his life. Belgium is the destination because assisted dying is legal there. Shock first, then anger, then something like acceptance, and the group keeps pedalling. Christian Zübert is less interested in arguing the question than in the last days these people get together. Hundreds of thousands saw it in Germany in 2014, which says something about the line it walks between comedy and farewell. Florian David Fitz and Julia Koschitz star.
