What Track 143 Is About

Olfat is raising her children in hardship. She has a daughter and a son called Yonos. Yonos works in the copper mine at Kerman. One day Olfat finds a note at home. The note says that he and his friends are going off to the war as soldiers. She and the parents of the other boys are left worrying. The Valfajr operation at the front fails. News comes about one of his friends. Olfat goes on waiting for her own son. After a while she learns that Iraqi radio reads out the names of Iranian captives. So she gets hold of a radio. She ties it to her back and carries it everywhere. The years pass and the waiting does not end. The film tells the war from the house rather than the front. It looks from the side of the one who waits. Merila Zarei and Gelare Abbasi appear in the ninety four minute film, an Iranian production Narges Abyar finished in 2014.
