What Truth In 24 Is About
The documentary tells the story of one of the hardest motor races in the world, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, from inside a team. Winning aside, simply finishing is a job in itself: for some five thousand kilometres the car, the drivers and the mechanics all have to keep working without a break. The camera follows the Audi team’s months of preparation, repairs made in the middle of the night, driver changes and the seconds lost on the track; the race appears not as romantic heroism but as a planned piece of work. Jason Statham reads the voiceover of the ninety five minute documentary by Keith Cossrow and Bennett Viseltear; it was completed in 2008.
