What Vexille Is About
In 2067 Japan rejects international limits on robotic technology and seals itself off from the world; the islands are wrapped in a magnetic screen and for a decade neither a person nor an image gets out. In 2077 the American backed unit SWORD, led by Vexille, breaks through and infiltrates. What they find is a country where the banned technology has long since been applied to people themselves. Fumihiko Sori’s fully computer animated film stages science fiction action as visual spectacle.
