What Tomorrow's Joe: The Live Action Movie Is About
For as long as he can remember Joe has lived by taking punches, spending every day in the slums as though it might be the last. When one street brawl lands him in prison, a fierce rival appears and boxing turns into a passion. An unlikely mentor who believes he could go the distance comes along too, and the young man steps into the ring. As he climbs the rankings he realises that he is no longer fighting only for himself but for tomorrow. The film was adapted from one of the most widely read comics in Japan, the work of Tetsuya Chiba and Ikki Kajiwara.
