Vimanam

The story comes from a real person. He is Saji Thomas, from Kerala. He cannot hear and cannot speak. Since childhood he had wanted to build an aircraft. He had no means to do it. He worked with scrap material. The effort ran over years. In the end he built a light aircraft. The film starts from that. It does not tell it as it happened. A love story is added to the telling. The central figure is attached to a childhood friend. The aircraft and that bond move along together. The film was Pradeep M. Nair’s first as director and opened on 22 December 2017. Prithviraj Sukumaran, Durga Krishna and Alencier Ley Lopez appear in the hundred and forty seven minute film, an Indian production Pradeep M. Nair finished in 2017.
