VIPs: Histórias Reais de um Mentiroso

Marcelo Nascimento da Rocha is one of the best known con men in Brazil. His career began flying planes carrying drugs and continued with false identities. In 2001 he became known nationally: he presented himself as Henrique Constantino, one of the founders of the airline Gol, and moved on that identity among celebrities, television presenters and business circles. For a while nobody noticed anything. Mariana Caltabiano decides to write his biography and make a documentary about his life. What happens during the filming becomes the film's real subject: the director too is taken in by part of what she is told and cannot separate what is true from what is invented. Some of the people he deceived also speak in it. Seventy-two minutes. The same story was filmed as fiction the same year, with Wagner Moura playing Marcelo; Moura appears in this documentary as well.
