Vox Populi

At the centre of the film is a politician. The man has been in the business for years. He is an experienced figure. But he has fallen into a midlife crisis. He starts questioning his own life. Around then new people join his family. His new in-laws are ordinary people. So is the way they look at the world. They have no interest in the language of politics. They come at matters with their own reasoning. That encounter shakes the politician. Its effect shows in his political life and at home. The film tells it as black comedy. Tom Jansen and Johnny de Mol take the leads, with Tara Elders also in the cast, in Eddy Terstall’s Dutch film of 2008.
