What We Are Many Is About
The documentary is about the marches against the coming war in Iraq that took place all over the world on the same day, 15 February 2003, and are counted as the largest demonstration in human history. Millions went into the streets in hundreds of cities; the war began anyway. The film does not take this simply as a story of defeat, asking instead what that day turned into in the years afterwards and which movements came out of it. How the marches were organised, who came together to do it, and how the people taking the decisions received them are each given separately. Noam Chomsky, Brian Eno, Ken Loach and Danny Glover are among those who speak. Amir Amirani’s hundred and four minute documentary was completed in 2014.
