What Where God Left His Shoes Is About
When Frank, Angela and their two children are evicted from their apartment in New York they have nowhere to go but a homeless shelter. After a few hard months good news comes on Christmas Eve: a nearby housing project has a flat free immediately. There is a condition, though. Frank has to have a job on the books. The rest of the film is spent chasing that condition. Salvatore Stabile promises no miracle and does not turn the hopelessness into a spectacle; what he is after is the bureaucratic side of poverty, the problem of not existing on paper. John Leguizamo plays Frank and Leonor Varela plays his wife.
