During the Greek Civil War two brothers from the countryside find themselves on opposite sides. Both are used as guides because they know the mountain paths, and both walk the tracks of Western Macedonia where so much of the fighting took place. The longer the war lasts the harder each of them becomes, each speaking the language of his own side, and what is between them is buried under that language. Their family is left in the middle of that split, and in the same village there are dead on both sides. The film does not try to prove either side right; it shows what the war turns young men into. Pantelis Voulgaris’s hundred and twenty four minute Greek film was completed in 2009.
