You're the One

Julia, the only daughter of a well off family in Madrid, wants to get away from her own circle after the man she loves is sent to prison. She is a woman who studied in Switzerland and in England and who wants to be a writer. She drives to a small village in Asturias and settles into the manor house of a childhood friend, where the friend’s mother in law and her grandson also live. Through what she builds with the caretakers, the teacher and the priest of the village, Julia perhaps for the first time does not feel so alone. The film tells the Spanish countryside after the war at a slow pace. Lydia Bosch appears in Jose Luis Garci’s hundred and eleven minute Spanish film, completed in 2000.
