3 Deewarein

Three men are under sentence of death. Jaggu is both a lawyer and a poet, serving time for killing his wife; Nagya is a man angry at the whole world who insists the killing was an accident; Ishaan is inside for a murder committed during a robbery. Mohan, who runs the prison, keeps trying different methods to reform the inmates. A documentary filmmaker named Chandrika arrives to make a film about the three of them, and in the course of it finds a way out of her own troubled marriage. Nagesh Kukunoor wrote and directed the hundred and twenty minute film and appears in it himself; it opened on 1 August 2003 and won him the Filmfare award for best story. Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff and Juhi Chawla star.
