What Aashayein Is About
Rahul is a gambler who wins a large bet. What he wins is twenty million rupees. He throws a party to celebrate it. That same night he proposes to Nafisa and announces the engagement there. But in the middle of the celebration he collapses. At the hospital he learns he has ninety days left. After that he leaves everything and moves into a hospice. The people he meets there change how he sees things. The film is not about dying but about what is done with the time that is left. The people in the hospice are what get Rahul to see past himself. John Abraham and Sonal Sehgal appear in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Indian film of 2010.
