306 Hollywood

Annette Ontell lived in a house in New Jersey. The address of the house is 306 Hollywood Avenue. She worked as a fashion designer. After she died the house and everything in it remained. Her grandchildren Elan and Jonathan go into the house. Both of them are filmmakers. Instead of clearing it out they do something else. They treat the house as an archaeological site. They lift the objects out in layers and sort them. Elan had filmed her grandmother over many years. That footage comes into the film as well. From there the film opens out into other fields. It looks at excavations in ancient Rome. It goes into subjects that run from fashion to physics. What it asks is simple. How much life is left in the things we leave behind. Annette Ontell and Elan Bogarín appear in the ninety four minute documentary. It is an American production Jonathan Bogarín and Elan Bogarín finished in 2018.
