Paletita M Manu Portillo What 7 Boxes Is About
A Friday night in Asunción, inside the huge market known as Mercado 4. Víctor, seventeen, works as a wheelbarrow porter and all he wants is a phone with a camera. For a hundred dollars he agrees to move seven wooden boxes whose contents he does not know. The job looks simple, and then it becomes clear that everyone is after those boxes: rival porters, police, employers. A chase film out of Paraguayan cinema that became an unexpected hit at home. Almost all of it is shot in the market's narrow corridors at wheelbarrow speed.
