What 90° in the Shade Is About
A woman working in a shop in Prague is having an affair with her dishonest married manager. An auditor with troubles of his own at home, a man who shows nothing of what he feels, comes to inspect and finds serious shortfalls in the stock. What follows becomes a test in which everyone has to decide where their loyalty lies, and it ends tragically. The film builds a questioning of morals fitted inside a single shop in Czechoslovakia in the sixties. The account shows that nobody in it is entirely clean. Anne Heywood plays the lead in Jiri Weiss’s eighty three minute Czechoslovak film, completed in 1965.
