99

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.'s 2009 Indian film is the pair's first feature. It is set in 1999, with the cricket betting controversies of that year as its ground. Two friends, Sachin and Zaramud, fall into debt with a bookmaker and are pressed into working as his collectors, which starts a chain of mishaps chasing each other between Delhi and Mumbai. One of the debtors is Rahul, played by Boman Irani. The film does not take the crime seriously but does take the people seriously; the jokes come out of the situation rather than the lines. It did modestly at the box office and found its audience later.
