What A Kind of America 2 Is About
The three brothers from the first film, Ákos, Tamás and András, go after the con man Alex to recover the sixty million forints he took, along with the eldest brother’s girlfriend. This time the chase carries them as far as America. Gábor Herendi’s film is the second instalment of one of the most commercially successful comedy series in Hungarian cinema, and it still finds its humour in the same place, in three brothers who are congenitally incapable of listening to one another. The first film had appeared in 2002 and been a considerable hit at home.
