What Adventures of Don Juan Is About
Don Juan returns to Spain from London after a scandal. His reputation arrives ahead of him; the king puts him in charge of the royal fencing academy, where the students take him for a legend. At court he sees how things actually stand: Queen Margaret means well and has no power, King Philip III is indifferent, and the Duke de Lorca, who runs everything, is about to drag Spain into a needless war. For the first time in his life Don Juan stops chasing women and takes a side. Vincent Sherman directs, with Errol Flynn as Don Juan and Viveca Lindfors as the queen. A hundred and six minutes.
