Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyoon Aata Hai

Albert Pinto is a young man who is angry all the time. He is the son of a Catholic family in Bombay. The anger goes out at everybody. His brother Dominic would rather be jobless than badly paid. His sister Joan works in a sari shop. She is the patient one. His girlfriend Stella stands on her own feet. She feels he does not value her enough. His father and the men his father works with are part of the story too. The film is about Bombay at the end of the seventies. Middle class life there is under pressure. Wages in the workforce are very low. Tension is building where people work. Albert’s anger comes out of that ground. The story asks where the anger ought to be pointed. Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil appear in the hundred and ten minute film, an Indian production Saeed Akhtar Mirza finished in 1981.
