What All at Once Is About
Tim and Dan are two young men going nowhere in a provincial Russian town. School is behind them, work does not appeal, and nobody is waiting for either of them. Chasing the idea of having everything at once, they let the local gangsters hand them a job, and the job does not go the way jobs go in their heads. Roman Karimov keeps the comedy and the menace inside the same frame, so something that starts as a stupid dare drifts toward a place nobody can walk back from. In a town this empty the only plan anyone has is one big score, and the film is honest about where that tends to end up.
