All the Way Home

The account is set in the early nineteen hundreds. The place is Tennessee. A family is living an ordinary life. There is a mother, a father and a small son. The bond between them is warm. One day the father dies without warning. It happens in an accident. When the news reaches the house everything stops. The woman is a widow all at once. The child is trying to understand that his father is gone. Grief fills the house for a long while, and the two of them have to carry it. Each of them lives it in a way of their own. In time the house begins to live again. Jean Simmons and Robert Preston appear in the ninety seven minute film, an American production Alex Segal finished in 1963.
