Vale texts a wrong number and reaches Nicolás. Neither says who they are. The messages continue and each writes to the other what they cannot say in their own life. Then they discover they attend the same school, where they do not like each other at all. The subject is not love but a teenager only being honest while their identity is hidden. In the messages each is someone else; at school they play the part the class expects. The film sets up that doubleness openly and takes its resolution from the same place. The form follows the template of the teen film: message screens placed in the frame, songs at scene transitions, the school's social order rendered through types. It was shot in Mexico and released on Netflix, among the platform's Spanish-language youth productions. The narrative is largely familiar; where it separates itself is in bringing the economic situation of the main character's family into the story and showing the class difference inside the school openly. Annie Cabello plays Vale and Ralf Morales plays Nicolás. María Torres directs. Who it is for: viewers who like light teen romance.
