What Be Here Now Is About
Andy Whitfield was the Welsh actor who became known overnight through Spartacus. In March 2010 he was diagnosed with lymphoma, and the documentary follows the time from that day to his death in September 2011. The camera goes into the treatment, the hope, the moment it becomes clear the treatment is not working, and the final months beside his wife Vashti and their children. Whitfield asked for it to be filmed, so this is not a film looking in from outside. It is hard to watch and unusually close to its subject.
