What Big Fan Is About
Paul is thirty-five, lives with his mother, works nights in a parking garage, and spends his free time writing out what he will say when he calls the sports radio show about the New York Giants. The team is the centre of his life. One night he and a friend spot the team's star player in the city and follow him; when Paul tries to approach, the man beats him badly enough to put him in hospital. Everything after that turns on whether Paul will press charges. Patton Oswalt works well outside his comic register.
