Bless You, Prison

Nicole is a young intellectual. One day she is arrested. The charge is political. The interrogations begin. They go on for three months. The method is exhaustion and isolation. She is held alone in a cell. Her contact with the outside is cut. During that time she goes through an inner experience. The experience has to do with faith. By her own account it is what keeps her standing. The film comes from a real life. It rests on a book by Nicole Valery-Grossu. The book is about her own years. The events and the people in it are real. Maria Ploae, Dorina Lazăr and Ecaterina Nazare appear in the ninety minute film, a Romanian production Nicolae Mărgineanu finished in 2002.
