What Cachimba Is About
Marcos is an ordinary man. Nothing worth noting has happened in his life. He goes with his girlfriend to a place by the sea. The woman is called Hilda. The two are to stay there a few days. But the holiday does not go as expected. Marcos goes into an old mansion. The house is neglected and close to collapse. Inside he finds a collection of paintings. The worth of the pictures is open to argument. Even so what he found changes his life. Things get complicated in the town as well. The account comes from a story by Jose Donoso. Pablo Schwarz and Mariana Loyola take the leads, with Julio Jung and Paulina Garcia also in the cast, in Silvio Caiozzi’s Argentine, Chilean and Spanish coproduction of 2004.
