Café. Waiting. Love

Si-ying has just started university and takes a part-time job at a café called Waiting. The place runs on its own strange rules: Abusi, the barista, does not call herself a woman, dresses as a man, and can make any coffee a customer asks for. The owner is never seen. Zeyu, who sits in the same corner every day, attracts a great deal of female attention, and Si-ying falls for him at once. But the café is not named for nothing; everyone there is waiting for someone, and the person they are waiting for is not the one they think. Ching-Lin Chiang directs this Taiwanese film, adapted from the novel by Giddens Ko, who also produced it. A hundred and nineteen minutes. Vivian Sung plays Si-ying. It was among the most watched domestic films in Taiwan that year.
