What Cheese and Jam Is About
Bozo, a Bosnian living in Slovenia, has no work; he spends his days in front of the television with a beer. When his Slovenian wife Spela has had enough and goes back to her parents, he tries to pull himself together and look for a job, but what comes his way is the shady work his friend Goran arranges: a list running from dressing up as a cartoon character to carrying people across the border illegally. The film treats a couple at the bottom of the social ladder, migration and petty crime by making them funny, without letting anybody off. Branko Duric both directs and acts; Tanja Ribic and Dragan Bjelogrlic are also in the ninety minute Slovenian production, completed in 2003.
