What Chuck Berry: The Original King of Rock 'n' Roll Is About
The documentary tells the life of Chuck Berry. Those telling it are his family, his friends and people he worked with. Berry is counted among the founders of rock music. The way he played the guitar shaped a generation. In his lyrics he wrote about ordinary life. Cars, school, dancing and being young. Those subjects were new at the time. The way he moved on stage was copied as well. The pianist who played with him for years speaks in the film. People from the record company talk too. Musicians of the following generation describe the influence. The account gives the events through the eyes of those close to him.
