What Cold War II Is About
Two warnings: this has nothing to do with Paweł Pawlikowski's Cold War, and it is a Hong Kong police action film; it is also the sequel to Cold War from 2012, and the institutional score-settling is hard to follow without the first. Sean Lau is now police commissioner. While a criminal sprung from custody throws the city into disorder, his wife and daughter are abducted, and Lau has to ask his old rival Waise Lee for help. The real subject is the power struggle inside the force.
