Daffy Duck's Quackbusters

Daffy inherits a fortune from a dying millionaire, J.P. Cubish, but the man's ghost takes part of the money back every time Daffy behaves dishonestly. To keep it he has to run an honest business, and the business he settles on is ghost hunting. The film uses that frame to string together Warner's older horror-themed shorts, including the abominable snowman episode with Bugs Bunny and that famous night Porky and Sylvester spend in a house. Among the newly made material is Night of the Living Duck, one of Mel Blanc's last pieces of work; Blanc died the following year. So the film is both a compilation and the closing of an era. Who it is for: viewers who love the classic Looney Tunes shorts. Who it is not for: anyone expecting a unified story, since this is assembled from parts.
