Veerasimha Mannadiar is killed by Hyder Marakkar, a notorious criminal, and his brother Narasimha Mannadiar sets out to settle the account. The feud between the two sides quickly takes in the whole region. The account puts politics, family ties and underworld reckonings next to the revenge, and who stands on which side keeps shifting. The power of the Mannadiar family is in the account, and so is the question of how that power was built in the first place. The film works in the wide cast revenge mould that Malayalam cinema of the nineties liked. Along with Mammootty, Jayaram, Suresh Gopi and Vikram appear in Joshiy’s hundred and forty five minute film, completed in 1993.
