Pau Donés
Jordi Évole What Eso que tú me das Is About
The documentary consists of a single conversation between the journalist Jordi Évole and the singer Pau Donés. Donés, the frontman of the band Jarabe de Palo, had been living with cancer for years, and twenty days before his death he called Évole and invited him to his home; the recording was made at his house in the Vall d’Aran and, at his own request, was only shown after he died. The conversation sets the emotional moments such a situation brings beside calmer stretches about how a life is lived and how it might be better seen. The sixty three minute Spanish production screened at the Málaga Film Festival on 26 August 2020 and opened on 30 September. Donés died on 9 June 2020.
