What Expelled from Paradise Is About

By 2400 most of humanity lives as data in an orbital system called DEVA: no bodies, no ageing, no scarcity. After someone breaks into the system, the security officer Angela is sent down to the surface in a temporary physical body to find the intruder, who calls itself Frontier Setter. What she finds below is a hard world with people still living in it. The film starts as a chase and turns into a question: is a mind moved into data still alive, or does living require risk. Written by Gen Urobuchi and animated entirely in 3D.
