What Grave Decisions Is About
A small town in Bavaria. Eleven-year-old Sebastian believes he killed his mother on the day he was born and has therefore been condemned to purgatory. Deciding he can shorten the sentence with good deeds, he sets about finding his father a wife. When his father Lorenz and his teacher Veronika fall for each other it looks settled; the one snag is that Veronika is married. Marcus H. Rosenmüller's first film, and a considerable hit in Germany. It is spoken in heavy Bavarian dialect. A black comedy built on death, guilt and a boy who thinks he is a murderer.
