The Best Place to Be

Kati and Jo are best friends. The moment school is behind them they jump into their purple Benz. The plan is a journey around the world, heading south. But the decision was a hard one for Kati. The love of her life came back to Tandern, their hometown, just before they left. The journey brings the two of them over the Brenner pass. There the car suddenly stops working. On top of that Kati learns her grandfather is about to die. She wants to go home. That wish puts the friendship to a hard test. Anna Maria Sturm and Rosalie Thomass take the leads, with Volker Bruch also in the cast, in Marcus H. Rosenmüller’s German and Austrian coproduction of 2008.
