What Beste Zeit Is About
Kati and her closest friend Jo, seventeen, live in a small village in Bavaria and have not much to do; driving her mother’s van without a licence, drinking beer in a field and trying to work out the world fill their days. Mike, whom Kati likes, comes back from military service, but for him the affair is not the large thing she has imagined. The tension with her father goes on as well. The film tells a summer in the provinces and adolescence without decorating either. The friendship between the two girls takes up more of the film than the love story. Anna Maria Sturm and Rosalie Thomass appear in Marcus H. Rosenmüller’s ninety five minute German film.
