What Guru Is About
The film takes up a boxing coach. The man is grumpy and hard. A young woman comes before him. She is rebellious and hard to hold. The coach takes her under his wing. The aim is the world championship. The training goes hard. The relationship between the two changes in time as well. But the real fight is not inside the ring. The politics of the sport bears down on them. The account is built on that fight outside. Venkatesh and Ritika Singh take the leads, with Nassar, Mumtaz Sorcar and Zakir Hussain also in the cast, in Sudha Kongara Prasad’s Telugu film of 2017.
