What Heart of a Lion Is About
Teppo is a central figure in a Finnish neo-Nazi group. He meets Sari and falls in love with her, then meets her son Rhamadhani, who is black, and the life he has built stops adding up. The film refuses to turn that into an easy conversion story: what Teppo believes and what he now feels keep eating at each other, and his brother Harri keeps the way back permanently open. Dome Karukoski directed from a script by Aleksi Bardy, with Peter Franzén as Teppo, Laura Birn as Sari and Jasper Pääkkönen as Harri. Racist violence is shown directly.
