Heat Wave

Gisele is a social worker of fifty two. Her husband died a short while ago. Theirs was not a faithful marriage. After that death her life goes somewhere new. She comes across Yannick. Yannick had been one of the people she worked with. He is nineteen and is dealing with kleptomania and addiction. Gisele feels a strong pull towards him. She tries to hold the feeling down and cannot. The difference in age between them is wide. The people around her do not know about it either. Her sister, her boss and her two children each get in the way in turn. Her secret meetings keep being broken up. The film tells this as a comedy. Marie-Thérèse Fortin and François Arnaud take the leads in Sophie Lorain’s Canadian film of 2009.
